In seven days, you will sail round-trip from Vancouver, B.C., with a day
in Glacier Bay at the midpoint of the voyage. You go ashore and get close
to the real Alaska at the ports of Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan, where
you may add new dimensions to your Holiday with dozens of optional adventures
like flightseeing, river rafting, canoeing, fishing and touring to native
villages.

about the Glacier Bay Inside Passage Cruise is unforgettable, but nothing
will live as long in your memory as the magical day cruising Glacier Bay
National Park. As you sail even deeper into the fjord, densely forested
slopes change to rugged, rocky crests; this is the newer part of the bay,
where nature has not yet had time to clothe the land exposed by retreating
glaciers. Like frozen rivers, glaciers flow to the bay, where the icebergs
they have spawned bob and float. The National Park Service Rangers, who
have joined the ship, point out harbor seals sunning on ice floes, mountain
goats like balls of fluff high on the cliff. Maybe you'll see a humpback
whale breaching, or a school of leaping orcas. |
